Expansive West Loop is the largest flexible workspace in Chicago and the Midwest, filling 19 floors of the former Fashion Trades Building, which opened in 1930 at 318 West Adams Street. The building stands between Wacker Drive and Franklin Street, directly across from Willis Tower, and Expansive owns and operates the whole of it. Inside there are more than 30 team suites alongside fully furnished private offices, dedicated desks and coworking memberships, seven conference rooms, a training room set up for in person, hybrid or remote sessions, and 11 soundproof phone booths, each with a built in desk. Two lounge areas give members somewhere to work informally or meet without booking a room, and the Expansive Lounge on the 17th floor is where guests are met. Other facilities include a community kitchen, complimentary tea, coffee and espresso, a working mother's room with soft seating, outlets and a refrigerator, mail services, a shared printer and scanner, free guest wifi, secure access, bike storage, and onsite private storage for inventory or equipment. An onsite team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
